Frequently asked questions

How much does a private chef cost in Quebec City?

With me, expect $95–$130 per person for the Essential formula, $140–$185 for Signature and $195–$275 for Prestige, before taxes. A $500 minimum applies. Groceries, cooking, service and clean-up are included.

What is included in the price?

Menu design, grocery shopping, on-site cooking, table service and kitchen clean-up. Rental tableware, extra service staff and wine are optional add-ons.

Do you travel outside Quebec City?

Yes. Travel is free within 40 km of Quebec City. Beyond that, mileage is charged per kilometre and shown in your estimate. For destinations over 600 km away (Toronto, Whistler…), travel is quoted on request.

How does booking work?

Send an online request in two minutes and get an instant price range. You receive your proposal by email, often right away and within 48 hours at the latest (special requests are prepared by hand). Your date is confirmed with a 30% deposit.

Do you handle allergies and special diets?

Yes. Every recipe tracks Health Canada's priority allergens. Your guests can declare allergies through a shared link, and I adapt the dishes: gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, nut-free and more.

How far ahead should I book?

Ideally 4–6 weeks ahead, and 2–3 months for the holiday season, Valentine's Day and weddings. Last-minute availability sometimes opens up, so send a request.

What do I need in your kitchen?

A working stove and oven, some counter and fridge space. I bring my own knives, utensils and specialised small equipment.

What's the difference between a private chef and a caterer?

A caterer delivers food prepared elsewhere. A private chef cooks in your home, right before the meal, and serves it: dishes arrive at their best, and the experience happens around your table.
