Valentine's Day dinner at home
By Mélida Karine Pierre · updated
For Valentine's Day, Mélida Karine Pierre cooks a dinner for two in your home, four to seven courses, with table service and dishes included. Expect from $500 before taxes for two. Dates around February 14 book fast: reserve 6 to 8 weeks ahead.
Why at home rather than a restaurant
On February 14, restaurants are packed, menus are fixed and tables are close together. At home, the pace is yours: no 9:30 pm seating, no neighbours, and the evening carries on in the living room.
The chef arrives about three hours ahead, cooks on site and steps away between courses. All you do is choose the music.
Sample Signature menu
The menu is built with you: favourite dishes, allergies, mood. Wine pairings are available as an option.
- Oysters or scallop crudo, citrus dressing
- Shrimp on corn purée, kale crisps
- Maple-glazed duck breast, roasted vegetables
- Chocolate fondant, red berries

For a couple, the $500 minimum applies to the Essential and Signature formulas. Travel is included within 40 km of Quebec City.
